1957 J.D. Miles Jr. incorporates the Company J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc.
1970 Miles Roofing, Inc. is incorporated by J.D. Miles, Jr. as a sister company to J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc.
1972 J. Dudley Miles III joins his father in the business full time
1982 J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc. moves into its current location
1983 J. Dudley Miles III serves as President of the Virginia Association of Roofing Contractor’s (VARC)
1992 J. Dudley Miles III serves as president of the National Association of Roofing Contractors (NRCA)
1994 Sherri Miles-Foley joins the firm full time
1997 A local hail storm necessitates a return into the residential market
1998 J. Dudley Miles III receives the J.A. Piper Award from the National Association of Roofing Contractors (NRCA)
1999 Sherri Miles-Foley serves as President of Virginia Association of Roofing Contractors (VARC)
1999 Miles Roofing expands its residential offerings to include siding, residential sheet metal, and new home roofing
2001 Miles Roofing of North Carolina, LLC is established
2002 J.D. Miles IV returns and joins the firm after 7 years as an IT specialist at Vanderbilt University
2003 J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc. becomes a founding member of Roof Connect
2004 J. Dudley Miles III is inducted into the Virginia Association of Roofing Contractors’ (VARC) hall of fame.
2006 J.D. Miles IV becomes President of J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc.
2007 J.D. Miles Roofing, LLC opens in Charlottesville, VA serving central and northern Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia.
2007 J.D. Miles incorporates into its residential division the window, sunroom and door business that Burgess Snyder had been servicing
