CNA offers tips for safe snow removal

As winter weather continues to pummel the U.S., it is helpful to review Chicago-based CNA’s tips to protect against the risks of excessive snow buildup.

Snow accumulation quickly can reach critical limits, resulting in a partial or complete structural collapse. Snow loads also can cause deflection in support members sufficient enough to damage electrical conduits, natural or propane gas lines, and water or fluid piping, among other things.
