J.D. Miles, IV

President, J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc.

J.D. Miles, IV joined the family firm in 2001.  J.D. was promoted to President of J.D. Miles & Sons, Inc. and Vice President of Miles Roofing, Inc. in 2006.

He oversees the day to day operations of the commercial and residential roofing divisions and serves as Manager of Information Services.  J.D. is currently a board member of the Chesapeake Public Schools Education Foundation,  Treasurer of the Chesapeake Alliance, sits on the Chesapeake Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce board, is a Commissioner of the South Norfolk Revitalization Commission, a Board Member of the Chesapeake Sports Club, and is a Commissioner on the Chesapeake Land Bank Authority.

J.D. is Past President of the Virginia Association of Roofing Professionals.  He is also a Past President and sits on the board of the Great Bridge Rotary Club, Past President and sits on the board of the Great Bridge Hickory Family YMCA, Past Member of the South Hampton Roads YMCA Corporate Board & Executive Committee, Past Internal Vice President of the Greater South Norfolk Business Consortium, and Past Member of the Chesapeake Leadership Board of Monarch Bank.

J.D. is a graduate of the 2005 class of the National Roofing Contractors Association’s Future Executives Institute. He is also a graduate of the 2006 class of Ignite Chesapeake. J.D. was formerly Senior MIS Consultant at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN for 7 years. He graduated from Vanderbilt University.
